International Tourist Guide Day (MDPT) – February 21

Since 1990, in Krakow, since 1997, we have been celebrating the MDPT together with the owners and residents of the city. The idea is to show the work and it is fully performed by professional tourist guides. On this occasion, unknown for free tours, we show places that are not obvious, we still discover Krakow, tell about some people associated with Krakow.

 

World Tourism Day – September 27

The holiday was established in 1979 on the initiative of the World Tourism Organization acting on behalf of the United Nations. The celebrations are to shape public awareness of the importance and role of tourism in the modern world, both in terms of culture, politics and economy. On that day, the Federation grants rights to new guides who invite residents for free tours around Krakow.
