The Museum of Engineering and Technology in Krakow (ul. św. Wawrzyńca 15) invites you until May 28, 2023 to a temporary exhibition organized in the Year of Copernicus. For centuries, man has wondered where the cosmos reaches and whether it has any boundaries, what laws govern it, and what place we ourselves occupy in it. The word “cosmos” for the ancient Greeks meant order or order found in the world. Today, we usually treat it as a synonym for the “universe”, i.e. everything that exists, all available space-time, initiated, as follows from the so-called standard model, by the Big Bang. Increasingly, scientists are also asking whether our modern understanding of the cosmos is correct?
