International Tourist Guide Day – Guides to Residents

On the occasion of International Guide Day, Guides from the Federation of Guide Associations invite you on February 25, 2023 at 12 noon for the following free tours:
1. Nicolaus Copernicus – a story about an extraordinary man with Krakow in the background
meeting in the courtyard of Collegium Maius by the well, 15 Jagiellonska str.
2. National Pantheon in the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Krakow
meeting in front of the entrance to the church, 52a Grodzka str.
3. House of the Archbrotherhood of Mercy and the Pious Bank in Krakow
meeting in front of the entrance, 5 Sienna str.

International Tourist Guide Day is celebrated on February 21. In 1990, it was celebrated for the first time in the world. The first celebration in Poland took place in Krakow in 1997. Since then, it has been celebrated annually. The idea behind the International Tourist Guides Day is free guided tours. This day is to show the work of the guide to local communities and local authorities. It is to make people aware of the role of guides in serving tourists, in creating the image of the city and region.
