Dragon Garden at Wawel

Until September 30, 2022. Organizers of the exhibition: Wawel Royal Castle – State Art Collection and the Bronisław Chromy invite you to an exhibition in the gardens of the Wawel Royal Castle. The exhibition honors the 50th anniversary of the Wawel Dragon Monument, presenting outdoor sculptures, and a cross-section of the artist’s entire work can be seen as part of the exhibition at the Bronisław Chromy Gallery in the Decjusz Park in Krakow. While walking around the Wawel Hill, it’s hard not to come across the works of Bronisław Chromy. In the Planty park, among the trees, we will meet three stone Owls from 1959. Near the Kossakówka manor house, there is an extremely dynamic monument to the Soldiers of Fighting Poland from 1992, in the form of three monumental eagles. On the Czerwienskie boulevard, the monument of the Dżok dog attracts attention, which is an artistic expression of extraordinary dog loyalty, the history of which is still moving today. However, everyone who strolls along this boulevard, first of all, directs his steps to the statue of the Wawel Dragon.
